Which Countries Can You Visit With a Japan Visa?

A Japan visa gives you access to at least 5 other countries, including Mexico, Panama, Georgia, Montenegro, and Turkey. So if you’re a Filipino passport holder with a valid Japan visa, you can visit several other destinations! No extra visas necessary. If you’ve ever wondered which countries can you visit with Japan visa, this list is for you!

Japan Visa doesn’t match the perks of a US or Schengen Visa. Those open doors lead to over 30 countries, like Austria, Ireland, and Belgium. Still, it’s a great start. You’ll usually need a multiple-entry Japan Tourist Visa. Single-entry visas have shorter validity and limited use. Multiple-entry ones can last up to 5 years.

Not everyone gets a multiple-entry visa. You need strong finances. You may also need close family ties or past visits to Japan or G7 countries (Canada, France, Germany, Italy, UK, or the US) may also be needed. An explanation letter is needed. I got mine in Serbia since Japan has no embassy in Montenegro.

Requirements: Valid Japan Visa (valid for 6+ months from arrival)
Stay Duration: Up to 180 days max
Savings: $60 (~PHP 3,000) for the Panama Tourist Visa Fee
