Autosweep RFID: Guide on How To Use the Cashless Payment in Philippine Expressways

By Two Monkeys Travel - Contributor July 14th, 2020 Posted in Philippines Travel Blog, Travel Blog 24 Comments

For foreigners who are planning to travel or relocate to the Philippines then I know you’ll find this article useful. You can also read my previous article about the guide on driving in the Philippines.

When passing expressways like SLEX or NLEX, looking for cash, paying at the gate and waiting for your change could take time especially if the queues are long during rush hour. So if you want things to go smoothly, then purchase an Autosweep RFID. Your car will have an RFID Sticker that will automatically compute from the entry and exit data. The toll fee will automatically be debited to your Autosweep RFID card, so you need to load it with money.

Before there was E-Pass, however, its battery life is only good for three years but the Autosweep RFID stickers is non-battery operated nor can be transferred easily.

Autosweep RFID doesn’t only let you have cashless transactions but also gives you perks and discounts. Examples are free California Maki at Yoshinoya, a room upgrade at Privato Hotel, 50% off on brake cleaning at Rapide Auto Services Experts or 20% off on meals at Kenny Rogers Roasters. Autosweep RFID is also free, so get yours now!
