Our first South American destination was Peru, where we lived in a pre-Incan town in the Andean mountains and hiked on foot for 30 kilometers in a single day to reach Machu Picchu, the Incan city in the sky!

Over the next two years, we explored the whole of South and Central America and Mexico, from the Yucatan, all the way down to the southernmost points of Chilean and Argentinian Patagonia.
