15 Best Things To Do in South Tenerife, Spain

Tenerife has two parts, the North and the South. Each of them has different characteristics. From their weather to restaurants, traditions, and culture. However, both are extremely wonderful and worth to visit. In this article, we will be focusing on South Tenerife, Spain. It offers a lot of fun and exciting activities. South Tenerife Airport is also the second busiest airport (next to Gran Canaria) in the Canary Islands.

15 Best Things To Do in South Tenerife, Spain3

Staying in South Tenerife for only 3 days is not a problem. You’d still be able to see a lot of attractions and you’d still enjoy your weekend getaway in this wonderful place. Here is the recommended weekend itinerary if you’re planning to visit South Tenerife.

3 Day Weekend Trip Guide to South Tenerife, Spain

DAY 1 – Weekend Guide to South Tenerife

Monkey Park On your first day, it is recommended to visit Monkey Park. Explore and learn more about different animals in this park. However, don’t expect an animal show as they do not have that here. You will see animals in their natural habitat, which I think is better. Enjoy!

Playa de Los Cristianos After a day in the park, it feels good to relax at the beach. Head to Los Cristianos if you want a relaxing beach getaway. Not only you can swim here. But you could also choose other activities. What more could you ask for?

DAY 2 – Weekend Guide to South Tenerife

Barranco del Infierno A must place to visit while you’re in South Tenerife. It is a wonderful hike that will take you to the highest waterfall in Tenerife. A great sight to see after a tiring hike. Also, please remember that you should book your ticket online as Barranco del Infierno limits their visitors to 300 people a day only, this is to preserve its environment.

Montana Chayofita In the afternoon, don’t miss Montana Chayofita, a very small mountain in Tenerife. The hike will take you about 15 minutes only. And when you’re on top, the view is very stunning. Especially during sunset, that’s why this attraction is recommended to visit in the afternoon for you to see how lovely the sunset is.
