Flight Cancellations and Travel Restrictions
As per the Turkish Airlines website, here are flight cancellations and travel restrictions:
All flights are canceled until April 1, 2020:
- China (Mainland)
- Iran
- Iraq
- Italy
- South Korea
- Nakhchivan (an Autonomous Republic in Azerbaijan)
- Saudi Arabia (Dammam and Riyadh)
- Mongolia (March 11 – 28, 2020)
- Israel (Tel Aviv has only 2 flights per day)
- Europe (Germany, France, Spain, Norway, Denmark, Belgium, Sweden, Austria, and Holland suspended until April 17, 2020)
- Kosovo (March 16-31, 2020)
- Ukraine (March 17 – April 3, 2020)
Rights of the Passengers who Hold Tickets
For Cancelled Flights
- Flight Changes is free of charge for canceled flights up to April 1, 2020, if it’s reserved for a flight from May 31, 2020
- Refunds will be issued for unused tickets
- If your ticket is partially used (e.g., the Philippines to Turkey to Italy to the UK, then Turkey to Italy is canceled), you can have route changes (a direct flight to the UK or a stop at another country rather than Italy) or a refund
For Non-Cancelled Flights
- If you hold tickets to Hong Kong for flights up to May 31, 2020, you can change your flight free of charge if you do it before April 11, 2020, and that your flight is from May 31, 2020
- Refunds will be issued for unused tickets
- If your ticket is partially used, you can have route changes or a refund
Other Turkish Airline International Flights
This applies to all tickets purchased to all destinations except for domestic flights in Turkey and to/from Ercan Airport (Northern Cyprus):
- Tickets bought from March 6 to March 24 for flights within 2020- the first rebooking is free of charge.
- Tickets bought before March 5 with flights up to December 31, 2020 – the first rebooking is free of charge but it must be done before March 16, 2020
- [Update] For those tickets purchased before March 31, 2020, for flights up to December 31, there is Zero Change Fee. If you don’t know when to fly, you can cancel a reservation and have an open ticket. Cancelation should be done before May 31, 2020, and flights completed until February 28, 2021.

STEP 1: Visit the Turkish Airlines Website or you can open the app.
STEP 2: Click “Manage booking / Check-in,” enter your ticket number or reservation code, and Passenger Surname.
STEP 3: Choose the “Turkish Airlines Change Flight” option.
STEP 4: Follow the instructions and complete it.
STEP 5: Pay the flight differences.
STEP 6: Get your new itinerary.
Step-by-Step Guide on Getting a Refund for your flights with Turkish Airlines
STEP 1: Prepare your flight details.
STEP 2: Contact your agency, the call center, or a Turkish airline sales office.
STEP 3: Provide your flight details as well as the reason why you want to get a refund for your flight. The in-charge will then process it.
STEP 4: Wait for the payment to be credited back to you. The method that will be used is the same way on how you paid for your flight (e.g., credit card).
