Paris, without a doubt, is one of the places most people would like to visit. I never met any traveler that did not include this in their bucket list.  That’s not surprising given its majestic, classic and jaw – dropping architectures and scenery. Apart from being a tourist destination, Paris has become one of the most sought after honeymoon destinations, and we will give you the reasons why.

1. Eiffel Tower and its romantic view from above

If you happen to be in Paris, it is a sin not to visit Eiffel Tower. This icon is not just something you can look at. Did you know that there are restaurants in here as well? Why don’t you have a romantic dinner at one of the world’s well – known towers? That alone is one for the books. You can enjoy the view and if lucky, get to watch fireworks at night.

2. Louvre Museum

Walk down the history while holding hands in Louvre Museum. In this historical monument in the city, you can find more than 300,000 objects from the past until the 21st century. You can find sculptures from different era and from different cultures. Indeed, this is an educational tour.  And wouldn’t it be nice to learn new things together with the one you love? Get to see Venus de Milo and Mona Lisa here as well.

3. Notre Dame de Paris

Notre Dame is the French term for Our Lady of Paris, also famous for being one of the best structures of French Gothic architecture. You would definitely fall in love with its facade and interior. In fact, it is so beautiful, you might repeat your wedding vows upon entering the cathedral that can hold thousands of people. The cathedral proved to withstand the test of time. Maybe that could be your inspiration for a long lasting relationship.

4. River Seine

It is always a nice feeling to have a dinner as you cruise with your other half. In Paris, you can do that as well. And this is also an alternative way to see what Paris has to offer. For some, getting a river cruise can be a bit costly, but I would say it is reasonable considering the view, the food and the entire experience while you are at it. Plus, would you really like to miss this chance while you are on your honeymoon? I don’t think so.

5. Arc de Triomphe

Who wouldn’t be impressed with Arc de Triomphe? It is located at the center of Charles de Gaulle and its size can be overwhelming. It is impossible to miss it. Just a quick trivia, did you know that it was built to honor those who have fought and died for France? Apparently, it was an act of patriotism and not to mention love. Now, why don’t you take shots of this monument to show that you can also fight and die for your loved one?

6. Palais Garnier

Watching an opera can get one pretty emotional. There’s something about the stage, the songs and the acting that tickles our heart. And since you are in Paris with the person who made you heart beat faster, why don’t you visit the most famous opera house in the world? Imagine yourselves being the stars of Phantom of the Opera. Surely, you will fall in love with the outstanding sculptures and paintings inside Palais Garnier. We suggest that you go at night to appreciate the theater without the crowd. It can get a bit eerie and haunting, but it’s an experience you shouldn’t skip.

7. Sacre – Coeur

This is also called the Basilica of the Sacred Heart of Paris and located at the highest point of the city. You can enjoy the songs being played by the musicians and dance with your partner like you don’t care about anything. Trust me, that would be so lovely. Also, you get to enjoy the panoramic view on top. I just hope you can scream at the top of your voice and say how much you love your better half. But since it’s a cathedral, I’d rather not do that. 🙂

8. Pere Lachaise

Visit Pere Lachaise and have the perfect excuse to hug your partner as tightly as you can. If you must know, this is a cemetery where a lot of famous people lie. It is also the largest in Paris and one of the most visited cemeteries in the world. It can get a bit creepy but it’s a unique experience both of you will cherish.

9. Cafés in Paris

Why don’t you have a breather and stay in one of the best cafés in Paris? That way, you and your loved one can talk more about your plans in the future. You can also reminisce the days when you are still dating. Good thing that there are a number of great cafés in Paris. Most of these have that cozy feel perfect for an afternoon talk. Try picturing yourself sipping some hot latte with the one you love the most? And to make it even more romantic, why don’t you share a cup?

10. And Lastly, hearing ‘I love you’ in French is always heart-melting

I don’t know about you but I definitely love hearing French words. It is so sexy and romantic, I would swoon even if I can’t understand most of it.  And where’s the better place to hear “Je T’aime” than in Paris, France, right?

There are still more things to do and see in Paris and it would take another volume to write everything. But maybe we should do that, don’t you think?  Anyway, that alone explains why it is one of the best places if you are planning to have your honeymoon. It’s not just about the places you see, but also the experience you get to have that will be worth remembering. Some will say that it can be a bit costly.  But with all the things that you can get from it, I would say it is worth your money. Start saving now or look for sponsors on your wedding. Now, that’s a great idea!
