In the South of Cancun lies a resort district named Riviera Maya along the Caribbean coastline. It stretches from Puerto Morelos to Punta Allen which is about 40 kilometers of beautiful beaches and tranquil blue waters.

There are many all-inclusive resorts as well as public beaches in this fantastic region. So if you don’t like to spend time on the Best Beaches in Cancun, try going to its next-door neighbor, Riviera Maya.

Like Cancun, Spring break, March to April, is the busiest time in Riviera Maya due to university students spending their vacations. A great time to visit if you don’t like the rainy weather in your part of the world is from December to April. But if you are on a budget, try spending your vacation in July or September.

It’s going to be worth it as the crew is very attentive, there are complete facilities, including a pool, and buffet is delicious. The sand is so soft you would love walking barefoot on mornings or night. Another gorgeous beach in Mexico is Xpu-Ha Beach, one of the best beaches in Riviera Maya. Although it’s not free to enter, your payment will be worth it as you can use the washrooms and showers. Bars offering foods and drinks are also found nearby. The long golden sand and crystal blue waters make it a romantic place. It’s also a great place to do some photoshoots as the view is scenic.

4. Playacar Beach

There are sandbags that your kids will enjoy playing on at sea. If you ever need something, there are locals selling things. It’s pretty rocky, so don’t forget to bring your sea shoes.

7. Point Esmeralda Beach

A small public beach perfect for families is Point Esmeralda Beach. Kids will love this as the waters are not deep. There are also food trucks and restaurants nearby so you won’t get hungry. Clear blue waters and white sand makes this one of the best beaches in Riviera Maya.

Aside from the private beach with fine sand and clear waters, you can enjoy the pool, restaurant and bar, restrooms, and music coming from the DJ. You will have a great time at one of the best beaches in Riviera Maya.

10. Playa Publica 88

If you want a public beach that’s not quite crowded, go to Playa Publica 88, one of the best beaches in Riviera Maya.
