Located on the southeast coast of the island, is a beautiful must-visit nature reserve. It’s one of the Canary Islands’ largest zoos, even doubles as botanical gardens. Home to over 3000 animals of 250 different species. In this park, you can ride a camel. You will be able to enjoy live educational sessions with parrots, sea lions, birds of prey and reptiles, with valuable information from their keepers. It’s open every day of the year. 3. Isla de Lobos

A lovely island located off the northeast coast of Fuerteventura, that’s perfect for a day trip. Ride a ferry and head to Isla de Lobos. There are no other activities here, but you can definitely enjoy a relaxing day while swimming and feel the cool breeze on this wonderful island.

4. Salinas del Carmen

Fuerteventura’s only remaining salt flats. Here, you’ll find a salt museum detailing the history of producing this condiment on the island. 5. Piscinas Naturales Aguas Verdes

The natural swimming pools in Fuerteventura’s wild west. The pools are very beautiful and clean. However, some parts of it are a little bit rocky. You’d definitely enjoy swimming in this cool place, just remember to always be cautious of the waves.

It is an Aloe Vera plantations in Gran Tarajal and La Oliva. It is known as the “Valley of Thousand Palm Trees”. Considered one of the best places for their world heritage in Gran Canaria. Thanks to its cooling properties, it’s particularly good at dousing the effects of sunburn. On more than 40,000 square meters of land area, Finca Canarias Fataga has 20,000 Aloe Vera plants, in a natural environment. Awesome!

7. Mercado de Los Tradiciones

It’s a tradition’s market located in what is known as “Colonel’s House” (Case del Coronel). Today, it serves as a place for small entrepreneurs to market their products. In this place, you can see craft bread, homemade jams, and organic fruits and vegetables.

Fuerteventura’s very own badlands. It is located within the town of Villaverde. Malpais de la Arena was formed tens of thousands of years ago during the island’s last major volcanic eruptions. You can trek to the peak of the Arenal crater to see breathtaking views.

9. Cuevas de Ajuy
