A PSA Birth Certificate is a vital official document stating details like your complete name, date and place of birth, gender, nationality, and parents’ names. This record is registered at the Local Civil Registry Office (LCRO) and archived at the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA).
It is essential for numerous legal and personal transactions, including obtaining a Certificate of No Marriage Record (CENOMAR), securing an Alien Certification of Registration (ACR), and processing government-related applications.
A copy from the PSA is always needed as it is genuine. Most also need it together with the official receipt as some places make counterfeit PSA Birth Certificates. Sometimes, PSA also updates its security features to avoid being copied.

- Valid ID – Required for identity verification
- Authorization Letter or Special Power of Attorney (SPA) – If requesting on behalf of someone else, bring a copy of the owner’s valid ID and your own
