Luxury Hotel Review – Brown TLV Hotel, Tel Aviv, Israel
Catering to a stylish, cultured and value-minded clientele as well as business travellers looking to add a little more personality to their trip, Brown TLV is a unique blend of boutique art hotel and personal, social space with the vibrant city and all the buzzing lifestyle it has to offer on its doorstep.
Tel Aviv’s only representative of world boutique hotel brand Design Hotels is only minutes from both the beach and lively boulevards at the essence of the Tel Aviv art scene. Unsurprisingly it has received recognition from international magazines like Conde Nast Traveller, Wallpaper and Vogue for its trendy bars, complementary bicycles, free access to a local gym and also business facilities.
What a welcome to Israel! We arrived following our 11 day tour through South Morocco prepared to experience even more ancient history, romantic landscapes and intense culture but were amazed to be met by this contemporary, sophisticated and very cool space within the buzzing capital. It’s a small but beautifully designed building and our room was the perfect haven to prepare ourselves for a day exploring with the much appreciated addition of a free bottle of wine and locally made chocolates waiting for us!

ACCOMMODATION
Ranging from intimate singles to extensive deluxe, all rooms here offer at least a double size bed laden with 400 thread-count linen sheets, steps away from a black marble walk-in shower with rainforest shower head. Fellow bathrobe enthusiasts will appreciate the Egyptian cotton towels and pique bathrobes, if here on business like us you can work in luxury, peace and quiet in the special workstation.
All aspects of the décor have been meticulously considered to create a sophisticated and peaceful ambiance, from the soft, warm lighting to the muted colour palette and tasteful plants adorning the spaces. For me the 32 inch flat screen TV and great wifi was the cherry on top!
AREA GUIDE
The hotel is perfectly placed within walking distance of many popular spots like Rothschild Boulevard, the beach and the night life of the Neve Tzedek quarter. By offering breakfast at various cafes close by guests immediately get a sense of the laid-back ambiance before venturing out to local attractions like the Independence Hall Museum and the colourful Carmel market. Take the chance one evening to see a dance show by the famous Bat Sheva group at the Suzzanne Dellal Centre.
TIPS
If travelling as a couple try out the couples massage service offered on the rooftop. Also check out the library of eclectic books in the comfy retro living room.
AMENITIES
Brown TLV is known by local residents for its stunning roof-top sundeck, the perfect spot to soak up the endless Tel Aviv sunshine by day lounging on the many beds and deckchairs amongst cushions and green foliage. By night this space transforms, often hosting private parties and serving wonderful cocktails. It also extends inside with an extensive menu.
As well as socialising and taking in the local culture, Brown TLV has relaxation completely covered with their new spa facilities. With treatments offered both in their treatment rooms and up on the rooftop in the shade of sheer white canopies, their therapists are trained in reflexology and a range of massages including Swedish, hot stone and deep tissue. Depending on the length of your stay you may even get one for free! Our favourite feature above all though, the open air jacuzzi on the rooftop! We loved soaking under the stars after a day exploring looking out over the lights of the city below.

Hi Kach,
I have been to Israel recently, I have to mention that the security situation over there is on the edge. I could see the fear in the eyes of the people over there and I didn’t feel comfortable at all walking around in Tel Aviv, Jerusalem and the other 7 town that I visited. Please mention this issue here so whoever is travelling to Israel to reconsider other destinations for the sake of their own safety. Also, for those people who insist on going to pay extra attention to where they walk or drive, and to plan their trip accordingly. We all love your blog here in the USA to the level where we trust and take it as a reliable source of travel information.
Thanks for everything you do for us travelers,
Best,
Sam.
