Planning a trip to Siargao? This island is surely one of the most popular tourist destinations in the Philippines. And that’s not surprising at all, it is also known as one of the surfing capital in the country. A lot of surfers or aspiring surfers have dreamed of surfing in its popular cloud 9 waves. With its clean water and awesome activities, who wouldn’t want to go here?

Of course, Siargao doesn’t only have the best waves or the best water. We should also consider the food that we’re going to eat there. So the question now is “Where is the best place to eat in Siargao?”. Around the area, there are countless restaurants that are making noise to both local and foreign tourists. With their awesome cuisine and authentic food, everyone would love to try to eat in these restaurants even just for once.

Offering both local and international cuisine, we looked for the best place to eat in Siargao. These places are one of the most popular foods in the area. And we’re pretty sure that you’ll definitely love them too!

1. Kermit Siargao

Have the best Italian cuisine at Kermit Siargao. With their homemade pizzas that are baked in a brick oven, you can never resist it. Kermit Siargao mainly focuses on world-class Italian cuisine. However, they also serve a few Filipino dishes and seafood for everyone to enjoy. 

Price range: PHP 100.00 – PHP 420.00

Operating hours: 07:00 AM – 10:30 PM (Mon-Sat); 07:00 AM – 10:15 PM (Sun)

2. Bravo Restaurant

If you’re craving for some authentic Spanish cuisine, Bravo restaurant got your back. Their menu consists of the best local ingredients and imported delicacies. The beachfront view would make your dining more special. The restaurant also has live music every day during dinner time.

3. Shaka Siargao

Want something new other than rice and meat? Then make your way to Shaka Siargao. In this restaurant, you can enjoy a bowl of smoothies and cold-pressed juices of the freshest fruits and vegetables. These healthy bowls can serve as pre or post-meal. You can also have the view of the famous cloud 9 waves while dining in from the terrace.

4. Miguel’s Taqueria Y Cerveceria

Enjoy the best tacos in town at Miguel’s Taqueria Y Cerveceria. If you want to have that Mexican vibe in Siargao, this is the place to be. Serving tacos, quesadilla, chimichanga, and a lot more at a very affordable price. The friendly staff is also there to assist you in any way possible.

5. Kalinaw Resort Restaurant

Offering local Filipino and South European dishes with a touch of French cuisine. Kalinaw Resort Restaurant is popular for its Mango Mahi-Mahi, Fish Kinilaw, and Truffle Pasta which you shouldn’t miss. Their thin-crust pizzas are also one of the well-loved food in their menu. These dishes would surely make you come back over and over again.

6. Mad Monkey Kitchen

A tiki-themed bar and restaurant that has a great location. Serving both local and international cuisine, people love going back here because of their very accommodating staff. Most people say that their Pesto Pasta is the best, although all their dishes are mouthwatering!

7. CEV Ceviche & Kinilaw

Craving for a “Kinilaw”? CEV Ceviche & Kinilaw has the best Filipino and Peruvian cuisine for you, everyone would enjoy pigging out in this restaurant. We all know that Kinilaw from the Philippines and Ceviche from Peru are almost similar, and this restaurant gave justice to both awesome dishes. You should never forget dining in here when you’re in Siargao.

8. White Banana Beach Club – Bar & Resto

An Italian Bar and Resto that would complete your Siargao trip. Their cocktails, the live music, the ambiance, everything here is awesome. They also serve local fish dishes and vegan-friendly courses.

9. La Carinderia

So if ever you want to have that pork sisig while pigging out the ever delicious lasagna, in this restaurant, it’s possible! Not only that, but they also have vegetarian-friendly dishes. This is really a place for everyone!

10. Wishyouwerehere Smoked Meat Diner

Calling out the steak lovers out there! This one is for you. From the name itself, who wouldn’t wanna dine here? Wishyouwerehere Smoke Meat Diner has the best-smoked meat in town. The meats are tender and very juicy. Plus a coleslaw and corn as the side dishes? Perfect for your meat cravings! Have some authentic BBQ here for a meal to remember. 

Price range: PHP 260.00 – PHP 14,250.00

These restaurants are just suggestions, although they’re the most popular and one of the best, it still depends on your tastebuds. There might be some other food that you want to try. But we can assure you that the food here would make your trip more memorable.
