On the outskirts of Tallahassee, the capital of Florida is this engaging Mission, largely restored and inhabited today by people who, in period clothing, they strive to recreate the old times. A reconstruction was made on the original site of Mission San Luis. It’s very interesting to see the way they show how everything happened at that time when the Spanish Missionaries and the Conquerors settled in Florida. The space is very large and used as a green area in which various buildings are lowered that demonstrates the interrelation between the Spaniards and the Appalachian natives in the early 1600s when the Mission was built. If you like history, then you should visit here.

7. Museum of Florida History

The museum is located behind the capitol and tells the story of the State of Florida and its importance for the formation of the United States of America. Although it is not very big, it is worth the pass.

8. Cascades Park

Cascades Park is a very pleasant park, located in the middle of the city, ideal for walking and watching the sunset. It also has a small park for children and an amphitheater, in addition to a huge lagoon with a green lawn. Inside the park is The Edison restaurant, whose parking lot gives access to the park’s lake. In the background, there is a small waterfall in the middle of the gardens, with a beautiful view of the city.

9. Florida Historic Capitol Museum

A very beautiful historic building that can be visited independently. It presents on two floors the explanations of the 3 branches of the American system: judicial, legislative, and executive as well as a short film. Allow yourself about an hour for the visit.
