Chiang Mai is the best place if you’re looking for a break from the hustle bustle of the city of Bangkok. It’s quite busy as well, yet a little more refreshing. Located at the north, this city is popular for its amazing mountains, huge number of temples and the famous flower festival.
This is not the regular hotel room you’re expecting it to be. The Chiang Mai Riverside Hotel has a very unique feature. This place is literally your home away from home. Offering a luxurious bedroom, cozy living room and an amazing kitchen, The Chiang Mai Riverside Hotel don’t only offer a hotel room but gives you the presence of everything you need even on your holiday.
The hotel aims to make their guests comfortable as much as possible and treat the hotel as their own home.
I cannot describe highly enough how friendly and accommodating the people of The Chiang Mai Riverside Hotel are; from the security, receptionists and butler service who spoiled us so much, the IT who I managed to disturbed and the great service of the kitchen that made me not wanting to leave the hotel. They succeeded to made us feel so home and well taken care of.
The Room (Vorra Yan and Vorra Thita)
We stayed for 3 days and 2 nights in this lovely residence hotel. On our first night, we stayed at Vora Ya, that room was an amazing one. With its queen sized bed, a LED television by the foot of the bed. A balcony with great view of Ping River and the pool.
The bathroom was indeed a luxury one, with imported toiletries from England and fancy interior design. Whilst a spacious living room where I can literally lie down and be lazy all day offers a great view of the river too. A large LED television and Apple entertainment system is all available for the guests’ enjoyment. A fully-equipped kitchen is accessible whenever the guests feel like cooking for themselves.
On the second night, we stayed at the Vorra Thita suite which is good for family travellers, it has 2 bedroom, large living room, a fully equipped kitchen and a dining table. The Chiang Mai Riverside Hotel provided a great entertainment set for both bedroom.
Their breakfast menu offers a wide options from typical western breakfast, Asian and even vegetarians. The Chiang Mai Residence Hotel wanted to offer a healthy food options to its guests. They make sure that all ingredients used are fresh and ecological.
I was ecstatic to learn that the snacks by the fridge are all free of costs, it gave me excuse to occasionally give the fridge a visit. The management wanted their guests to take a break and don’t mind the prices of the food they’re consuming while staying here.
I also have tried an in-house lunch, where we had an authentic Thai dishes that satisfy my curiosity and cravings for local food.
Refresh yourself by the pool on the hot days or simply tan yourself by the sunbeds. This area is children friendly as well for the family travellers. If you’re an active type of person, the gym is free of access where you can keep yourself fit whilst enjoying your holiday.
In the weekends, the hotel is organising an in-house local market, where they invite local entrepreneurs to sell their products to the hotel’s guests. This is great way to find the best gift to remind you of your trip, or simply an interaction of the guests to local Thais.
In the next few months, The Chiang Mai Riverside Hotel will be opening their restaurant for the convenience of their guests. They will offer a massive options of food and dishes. Guests can dine here or can comfortably sit in their room and request the food to be delivered.

My Personal Experience
The Chiang Mai Riverside Hotel literally made me not wanting to leave the hotel. It has all I need, after my 2 months of travelling in Southeast Asia, to relax and unwind is all I need. The comfort they offer satisfy me and even went past my expectation. I love the idea of offering more than a room to its guests by putting up a kitchen and a living room as well.
After my trip in Thailand, I set myself off to explore Myanmar which I aimed to interact with locals and see how they lived. I loved the idea of giving myself a treat before going off in that sort of trip, it was a good reminder that everyone deserves a luxury once in a while, and when I say luxury, The Chiang Mai Riverside Hotel is what I mean.
I won’t forget how genuinely friendly and caring the whole team. You can easily feel at home, these people are providing a great service that their guests deserves. I highly recommend The Chiang Mai Riverside Hotel to anyone looking for a true luxurious holiday break, a home away from home and a place to pamper yourself.
Note: This trip wouldn’t have been possible without the help and support of The Chiang Mai Riverside Hotel for our complimentary stay in this Hotel. All opinions and text are all mine!
About the Writer:
Hello! I am Mary Charie Ramos Ylagan I’m a bookworm, ice cream hyped (only chocolate flavour or something with chocolate on it, ah, I don’t even know why I’m babbling about this), writer and a traveller. But if you are highly curious about my personality (which I profoundly doubt), we should travel together. I’m sarcastic in an annoying way but my very close friends love it, though! Pulling some jokes is like a hobby to me, although this gives me hard time to open up my feelings. That’s why I looove my blog, it lets me express myself in a different angle.
