13 Positive Things To Invite In Your Life: Enrich your life
The law of attractions says that positive thoughts also bring positive experiences into a person’s life. So, if you want to have a happy, successful life, draw positive things. Here are 13 positive things to invite in your life.
1. Positivity
“The happiness of your life depends on the quality of your thoughts.” Marcus Aurelius
The first on our list is positivity. Positivity means thinking positively and focusing on making your life happier. It’s an attitude that helps you in day to day life, making it is easier and lighter. When we worry or think negatively, it causes us stress, makes our mood sour, and forgets what really matters. So be positive; there’s always a rainbow after the rain.
2. Self-Love
“Self-love is not selfish; you cannot truly love another until you know how to love yourself.” – Anonymous
Loving yourself is one of the positive things to invite in your life. Some may think it’s vain to do it, but it’s not. How can you love someone fully if you don’t love yourself? Self-love makes you know more about your value and what you deserve. Many people have been taken for granted, abused, depressed, or been in pain because they forget to do so. If we love ourselves, we also invite positive relationships, improve our mental health, and promote physical well-being.
3. Courage
“Courage doesn’t mean you don’t get afraid. Courage means you don’t let fear stop you.” – Bethany Hamilton
Each of us has something we are afraid of; fears are normal. But it should not stop us from what we are meant or deserve to be. For example, some people can easily let toxic people in their life go, but some might find it hard – they might cling even if it hurts them. Some may have a fear of failing on something they’re passionate about. Courage needs to be in our life; the Courage to face and overcome your trials. It’s scary and uncertain, but facing it might result in something better.
4. Kindness
“Ah, kindness. What a simple way to tell another struggling soul that there is love to be found in the world.” -Alison Malee
Everybody has experienced kindness from another person. We mostly feel happy about it, even if they are simple; a friend treating you dinner, a local giving you directions, or a classmate letting you borrow his pen or giving you a piece of paper. We might not notice that we, too, do this stuff. We are also kind. So keep it up or do it more often. Kindness is free. It’s universal. It may be small deeds, but it may bring a significant impact on someone’s life.
Sometimes, we realize that we were kind after somebody else has been kind to us. There was a time when I was in the airport charging my power bank when a foreigner was about to charge, too. However, the outlet was different, so I offered her to charge through my power bank. It was really no big deal for me. But when I went to South Korea, my phone almost ran out of battery as I left my power bank in my bank. I went to 7-11 looking for a charging station, but there was none. But, the attendant lent me his until my phone was okay. It was a small deed, but it did have a big impact.
5. Generosity
“We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give.” – Winston Churchill
Another positive thing to invite in your life is Generosity. Generosity is not only the act of giving your money, but also you can be generous in your time, talent, or resources without expecting something in return. It’s healthy to be a giving person, and you will feel happier and at peace.
6. Patience
“Patience is not the ability to wait, but the ability to keep a good attitude while waiting.” – Joyce Meyer
Patience is another essential thing in our life. Sometimes, we want things immediately; we get annoyed or stressed if it’s not there when we need it. Having patience will give us inner peace and happiness. An impatient person’s emotions will burst immediately if something is wrong; a patient one will have the time to think and reflect on what to say and do.
7. Forgiveness
“Let us forgive each other – only then will we live in peace.” – Leo Tolstoy
To forgive yourself and others is freeing. It helps you keep negative emotions in you. So, learn to forgive and ask forgiveness. Learn from your mistakes and try not to do things you don’t want others to do to you. It will make you have a happier life.
8. Persistence
“Ambition is the path to success. Persistence is the vehicle you arrive in.” – Bill Bradley
My reviewer always told us was to think of this while studying for our exams – “I will persist until I succeed.” We all need persistence in our life. Of course, we have goals and dreams; perseverance is the key to achieve them. Persistence is doing things towards your goal even though you are not motivated to do so and not giving up despite failures. You can do it! Repeat after me – I will persist until I succeed.
9. Thirst for Knowledge
“In your thirst for knowledge, be sure not to drown in all the information.” – Anthony J. D’Angelo
Having a thirst for knowledge means you are interested to learn, either of the world, of someone, or of something. We don’t know everything, so don’t be afraid to ask questions or advice. Learn to be open. Learning is a lifelong process, and you will definitely grow as a person if you have curiosity or inquisitiveness.
10. Lasting relationships
“Lots of people want to ride with you in the limo but what you want is someone who will take the bus with you when the limo breaks down.” – Oprah Winfrey
We have people in our lives that go in and out. But what we need to have a long-lasting relationship. And those are not specifically for couples but also with family and friends. Someone you can lean on and someone who inspires you to be a better person. If you have toxic friends, let them go. Keep people who bring joy and light.
11. Understanding
“Understanding is deeper than knowledge. Many people know you, but very few understand you.” – Anonymous
Understanding is another positive thing to bring into your life. It helps in relationships with other people as well. We all have different experiences in our lives, so we should put ourselves in their shoes and show empathy and compassion.
12. Blessings
“When I started counting my blessings, my whole life turned around.” – Willie Nelson
Allow blessings to come into your life; be it financial blessings, spiritual blessings, blessings on health, relationships, or love. Open your arms to receive them and be always grateful.
13. Inspiration
“Inspiration is some mysterious blessing which happens when wheels are turning smoothly.” – Quentin Blake
Inspiration is another important thing in our lives. We have experience getting inspired, right? And because of it, we feel motivated to work on our goals and passions. We can find inspiration in people; rather than be jealous of what they are and who‘ve they become, find inspiration in them. With true inspiration, you will do wonders!
