If you’re looking for nature and you’re looking for hikes, and you’d like to avoid the slightly more touristy route, well this is perfection. This place is just amazing, situated on the slopes of a former plantation, but nowadays nature is flourishing again! A short ride from Puerto Jiminez, Bolita is a superbly comfortable jungle-hut experience for anybody who wants all the benefits of camping out without the headaches. Very special place, some afternoons dozens of toucans would congregate around camp. Really nice staff and great volunteers working.
