Luxury Hotel Review: Atria Hotel & Conference Magelang, Indonesia @AtriaMagelang

Right from the entrance lobby, I found myself in awe and astounded by a warm welcome, of great music and cultural dance presentation from the little kids. We’ve been to a lot of places in Indonesia and stayed in different hotels but I must say this is one of the most memorable stay that I ever experienced.

Atria Hotel is located in the city of Magelang, in Central Java, close to one of the most well known temple not only Indonesia but in the world, the Borobudur temple, which only takes 15 minutes to reach the place. Hotel is perfectly located near the shopping malls too.

Dead tired for the whole day activity and all the flights and bus rides, everyone’s relieved, amazed and surprised by a feast like scenario at the entrance lobby. The traditional dance that they’ve prepared and shown to us is by far the happiest and grandest welcome we’ve ever received in our entire trip to Indonesia! Lively cultural performance from the cute little kids accompanied by traditional music, that surely did make us feel very welcome! Big wide smiles everywhere, from the lobby area, elevator, hallways, and restaurant, treating every guests with a warm, friendly and generous act. Speaking of generosity, they even gave us a present, a special paper holder display, design inspired by a Hindu epic story character, Puntadewa. Staff  genuinely providing customer service excellence, one great factor that makes Atria Hotel one of the best!

Aside from the usual buffet tables at the center, wooden food carts were parked along the sides. This is where the interesting traditional food were displayed, very unique and quite inviting! When visiting Magelang, Indonesia…

Climate in Indonesia is almost entirely tropical whereas insects like mosquitoes thrive the most so better be ready with simple protection by bringing mosquito repellent. Tropical regions like Magelang, Indonesia has often hot weather so you need to always keep a bottle of water in hand to refresh yourself and prevent heat stress. Keep your self cool by wearing light clothes and match it up with a hat and a pair of sunglasses as protection from the heat and light of the sun.

When staying at Atria Hotel Magelang…

Book a better hotel room, ask what is the best view room. Make your stay extra special by choosing a room with the best view. Take the higher floors facing East to get a view of the sunrise over the mountain horizon.

Shop in their Batik Boutique. You don’t even need to go out of the hotel to find for souvenirs since the hotel has its own Batik store, ‘bateeq’, a classic collection of Batik for men, women and children.

Take advantage of hotel offers and promotions online. Room, food and beverage promotions are being offered in the hotel.

Wander around the hotel. Great display of traditional arts are displayed on each elevator hallway, a proud showcase of their very own craft. Soothing sound of Gamelan, a traditional Javanese ensemble music, played by locals at the lobby area.
