Luxury Hotel Review: Casablanca Hotel in Times Square, New York @CasablancaHotel

By Kach Umandap January 19th, 2016 Posted in Best Luxury Hotels, Luxury Hotel Review, Travel Blog 20 Comments

Sitting in the heart of Times Square, The Casablanca Hotel is a Moroccan-style boutique hotel with a special touch of colour and warmth of personal service. Inspired by the romantic classic film “Casablanca”, this luxury boutique hotel allows you to capture the romance of the city while enjoying the bustling, modern vibes of the Big Apple.

Hotel Casablanca New York

After all the excitement of experiencing New York for the first time, I was so happy to arrive at Casablanca Hotel and enjoy some much-needed peace and quiet. As they describe it themselves it really is an “oasis of hospitality” and once inside it’s hard to believe you’re only steps from Times Square.

I took advantage of the lovely café on the 2nd floor (open 24 hours) to catch up on a little work in between sight-seeing which I could also do so easily being in such a central location.

You can check details and latest rates on Booking.com , Expedia or Agoda or visit their website directly.

Don’t just take our word for it though, check out their reviews on TripAdvisor

You can also find the latest price or discounted deals thru Travelocity.

Location: 147 West and 43rd Street

Nearby Landmarks: Time’s square, Hard Rock Café, Museum of Photography and Broadway Theatres

ACCOMMODATION

With many options of room if space is key for you, request a queen or king room (like mine!) but the lounge areas of the hotel more than makeup for a smaller room if you have one. I loved the homely style throughout the hotel (and the addition of slippers in the rooms!), making a really cozy atmosphere. I heard that if you’re sensitive to noise it’s better to request a room that looks onto the pretty courtyard rather than the street too. You can also request a mini fridge free of charge, although you’re unlikely to need it with so many complimentary snacks available.

TIPS

Times Square is the busiest area in New York, parties and noise never stop so please ask the reception to give you an inside room! If you’re suffering from jet-lag Rick’s café offers complimentary tea, coffee & newspapers and as always with The Library Collection, you can enjoy complimentary cheese and wine every evening.

AMENITIES

Hotel Casablanca has different complimentary services to their guests but the best and will always be my favorite is the turndown service with chocolates! Aside from the listed below, they can also arrange airport transfers if needed.

FOOD

You will love the free breakfast
offered here, including eggs, oatmeal & croissants, but don’t worry if you miss it as you will find complimentary pastries, cookies, tea & coffee on offer in the café all day. The restaurant also offers a lunch and dinner service if you are not out exploring the many options in the area.
